Since Donald Trump lost the election in 2020, Republicans across the country have been scrambling to hold onto power. But no one has done more to undermine our democracy than Jim Jordan.

Jordan has been Donald Trump’s #1 co-conspirator and defender. He was a cheerleader for his attempted coup, and is still pushing Trump’s Big Lie about the election. Jordan and the rest of the GOP who continue to push Trump’s lies have convinced many ordinary Americans that they can no longer trust our democracy. Now our democracy is at risk because there are too many career politicians like Jordan in Washington who are willing to betray our nation for their own interests.

Max Boot said it best in his recent op-ed:

“I have no faith that we will remain a democracy if Republicans win power. Thus, although I’m not a Democrat, I will continue to vote exclusively for Democrats until the GOP ceases to pose an existential threat to our freedom.”

We need folks in Congress who will put country over party and defend our democracy. That's not Jim Jordan. Whatever our differences, it's time for everyone who loves this country more than they worship a political party to come together.
