John,
I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made over the past year, but there’s still so much more work to be done.
The truth is that we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring about real change for the American people, and we need to bring our party together to make it happen. Now.
We need to abolish the filibuster and expand Medicare, invest in families, workers, climate action, and infrastructure.
But Washington is at a stalemate. Here’s why:
We ended Mitch McConnell’s Senate majority in a literal sense – but he still has a death grip on the Senate. And, apart from certain rare circumstances, that will be true until we can abolish the filibuster.
Let’s face it, as one Republican colleague in the House admitted in an unguarded moment, their whole plan is to cause chaos and gridlock for the next eighteen months. Never mind what it does to the country, they think it's good politics. It isn’t. Just the same old cynicism.
That is why I'm doing everything in my power to elect more Democrats to the House and Senate — especially candidates who champion our priorities on climate, health care, child care, housing, and abolishing the filibuster.
If you’re with me, pitch in $10 or $25 right now to help protect and expand our slim Democratic majorities next November. We need to finish the work we started after Trump’s election to protect our democracy, save our planet, and make the economy work for every American.

There’s no question about it — the midterm elections are going to be an uphill battle. The GOP and Donald Trump are more determined than ever to win back crucial seats after suffering tremendous losses in 2020.
I know we can defeat them again, but it’s going to take a lot of grassroots support and energy from our people-powered campaign.
Thank you for being a part of this movement.
