Kia ora John,

Two years ago today, I remember standing on the steps of Parliament, looking out at the crowd of people who’d gathered to welcome our new Government to the Beehive, and feeling truly humbled.

Humbled by those of you who’d taken the time out of your busy day to come and show your support, and humbled by the new ministers who stood beside me, determined to create a better government for all New Zealanders.

People knew what was at stake in 2017: another three years of a National Party which had for 9 years neglected the major issues facing New Zealanders, or a Government led by us, Labour, our people-led movement no longer willing to accept the status quo of children sleeping in cars, hospitals with sewage leaking through the walls, and dirty, unswimmable rivers.

Will you support us again? <[link removed]>We knew there was a lot of work to do to reverse the years of damage that the last Government had created, but we promised that we’d be an active, strong and empathetic Government who worked together to tackle the big, long term challenges facing our country.

And as I write today, we’ve made good progress on that promise, by making the largest ever investment in frontline mental health services, investing in life-saving cancer treatment machines and drugs, building the largest number of state homes since the 1970s, and so much more. But there’s of course, much more to do.

That’s what comes from planning 30 years ahead, not just three - meaningful, long-term solutions. But that takes time. And to have that time in Government - to continue tackling the biggest challenges facing our country - we need to win the election next year.  And that’s something we can’t do without your help.

Will you donate to our 2020 campaign fund to help make sure we win the next election and can continue the work we’ve started?

YES, I'LL DONATE <[link removed]>Every volunteer, donor and supporter for Labour takes us one step closer to running a winning election campaign and securing a second term for Labour in 2020.

It won’t be easy. We know we are going to be up against a well-funded opposition who will try and undermine our achievements through negative campaigning - but with your help, we can make sure we have the resources to push back and run a strong, values-driven election campaign.

Today, can you chip in to support our 2020 campaign? Every single contribution, no matter what size, will make such a difference.

YES, I'LL CHIP IN <[link removed]>Thank you again for supporting us. For giving us this incredible privilege of being in government and for allowing us to create a fairer, kinder New Zealand for all.

Thank you.

Jacinda

Every year, National receives large donations from a small group of very wealthy individuals. Labour is proud to be the party of the people and we’re funded by small donations from thousands and thousands of passionate supporters like you.
Will you be one of our generous donors, John? Whatever you can afford — even if it’s only a few dollars — will make a difference and help us prepare a winning campaign.
