I’m sorry to bother you, but it’s important. Early voting in the Virginia governor’s race has already begun, and a recent poll shows my Trump-backed opponent Glenn Youngkin ahead by 2 points. It’s the first poll he’s led all campaign and it’s coming at an awful time.

If you’re like me, you’re getting a lot of fundraising emails right now. I don’t doubt the urgency of those races, but let me tell you why no race is more important than Virginia in 2021.

For the last decade, Virginia Democrats have led the nation by delivering victory after victory for working families. 

Right now all of that progress is under attack. If my opponent Glenn Youngkin becomes Virginia’s governor, he’ll roll back every inch we fought so hard for.

Let’s be clear, Glenn Youngkin is a right-wing Trump acolyte. He wants to ban abortion, he pushes Trump’s Big Lie and if he becomes governor, he’ll put more guns on our streets. 

Moreover, Donald Trump has endorsed Youngkin four separate times. If Youngkin wins, Trump’s 2024 presidential run will get a huge momentum boost heading into 2022.

So I’m asking — can you split a donation right now to help me deliver a huge victory for Democrats this November?
