Since January, House Democrats have been hard at work writing legislation and passing bills that have and will improve the lives of Americans all across the country. We have strived for progress. So far, Jan and her colleagues have:
- Passed the Women's Health Protection Act, which deems abortion services are essential health care, upholds terminating pregnancy as a constitutional right, and seeks reproductive justice
- Put into action the Advance Child Tax Credit, where families were able to receive financial support on behalf of each child due to the COVID-19 economic crisis
- Under the Biden administration we were able to establish an expansive vaccination program to successfully combat COVID-19 and it’s variants
- Raised the debt ceiling and averted a massive financial crisis, something Republicans decided to politicize under the Biden Administration
- And now we are focused on holding big tech accountable, after huge internet conglomerates like Facebook have violated our privacy rights
This list just scratches the surface of progress made by the House Democrats, and we aren’t done yet — but Republicans are ramping up their efforts to flip the House, and we have to stop them in their tracks.
