John -

In less than a month, President Biden will fly to Glasgow for the world's biggest climate conference of the year: the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (also known as COP26).[1]

That means we have a very short window of time to create a ton of momentum for our flagship campaign in the United States: Fossil Free Federal Reserve. But here's the good news.

All around the world, 350.org climate activists are getting ready to organize creative and disruptive actions to expose the greed and corruption of the fossil fuel industry.

Here in the United States, we are gearing up for some pretty massive climate campaigns targeting Federal Reserve branches around the country. And we want to send you a special, limited-edition "Fossil Free Federal Reserve" sticker so you can help spread the word about the most ambitious climate campaign we've ever launched:

You can put your sticker on your water bottle, laptop, the bumper of your car, or anywhere people in your community will see our message: Financial institutions need to stop funding the climate crisis.

Let's be clear here: Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is ignoring the huge risk that investments in fossil fuels pose. Not only are they environmentally destructive, they're a financial risk to our entire economy.

Politicians like President Biden will loudly promise climate action in speeches and at global gatherings while quietly funding massive fossil fuel projects like the Line 3 tar sands pipeline at home — even as these projects poison drinking water, displace local and Indigenous communities, and cause devastating fires and storms.

Unacceptable. It’s time to make fossil fuels history by cutting off their lifeline — money.

Fighting climate breakdown is about much more than emissions and scientific metrics — it’s about fighting corporate power and building a just and sustainable world that works for all of us.

Between now and COP26, we have major climate actions planned targeting Federal Reserve branches in every corner of the country, but first we need your help to spread the word:

Please join us by taking the first step and claiming your free "Fossil Free Federal Reserve" sticker today. Together, we're taking action into our own hands to stop the funding of fossil fuels.

It’s going to take all of us to bring down the systems that have, for so long, failed to prioritize people and the planet. But we have real hope. We have a vision of a safe, just and equitable future built by the power of ordinary people, and we need to share our vision with as many people as possible. So thank you for being a part of this movement.

More soon on how you can take the next step ahead of this global moment for our climate movement.

In solidarity,

Team 350
