Jack, we only have two days left to write and mail letters to infrequent, but Democratic, voters in Virginia ahead of the crucial, upcoming gubernatorial election on November 2. (The letters have to be mailed out on Saturday, October 16 in order to be guaranteed to reach their recipients before the election.)
Please log in to, or sign up for, Vote Forward, and start writing letters to infrequent, but Democratic-leaning, Virginia voters who need that extra "nudge" to cast a ballot.

P.S. In yesterday's email, which you can read below, I gave you no less than eight reasons why you should set aside an hour of your time to write a few of these letters. Please, give it an honest read through.
Jack, with the November 2 election for governor approaching, the deadline for mailing letters to Virginia voters who usually vote for Democrats, but who actually turn out to vote infrequently, is this Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Please log in to, or sign up for, Vote Forward, and start writing letters to infrequent, but Democratic-leaning, Virginia voters who need that extra "nudge" to cast a ballot. Virginia will elect a new governor in three weeks, much of the national Democratic agenda is on the line, and polling currently shows a very close race.

Here are eight reasons why you should write letters with Vote Forward this week:
-
Everyone can participate. It doesn't matter where you live. Everyone can write letters to infrequent, but Democratic, voters in Virginia.
-
You don't have to talk to anyone. This is a form of getting out the vote that doesn't require door knocking, phone calls or sending texts. All you are doing is putting pen to paper, and then putting your letters in the mail.
-
Work at home on your own schedule. You do not have to attend any meetings, log on to any Zoom calls, or go anywhere at all. You can write the letters any time of day from the comfort of your own home.
-
Vote Forward really works. A rigorous, peer reviewed study of the impact of Vote Forward in 2020 shows that people who received Vote Forward letters turned out at a rate 0.8 percentage points higher than voters in a control group who did not receive any letters. With 17 million letters mailed in 2020, this translates to 126,000 net votes for Joe Biden--more than enough to swing several key states, such as Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin.
-
The election is really close. The FiveThirtyEight polling average in Virginia shows Democrat Terry McAuliffe only 2.5% ahead of Republican Glenn Youngkin. This is well within the margin of standard polling error.
-
Help avoid a landslide defeat in 2022. Biden won Virginia by ten points in 2020, so Democrats really better win it again if we want to avoid a landslide defeat in 2022.
-
Help pass Build Back Better--and keep it big. If The Build Back Better Act hasn't passed into law by November 2--and it probably will not have passed into law by that date--then it is entirely possible a Republican victory in Virginia could result in scaring Democratic moderates enough to further reduce the size of the bill or even to defeat it entirely.
-
We still need to write over 100,000 more letters. As of this writing, we still need to write over 100,000 letters. We really need your help to make sure that we are contacting every possible Virginia voter, Jack!
