Last month, an anti-abortion fake clinic operator in Colorado advertised open positions for nursing staff. The vacancy announcement notably said, “no vaccine required” but called for applicants to be “humble,” “Christian,” and of course, “pro-life.” [1]
It should be a given that ‘pro-life’ means doing whatever possible to limit the risk of spreading the deadly coronavirus. But we know the so-called pro-life movement places no value on actual peoples’ lives and livelihoods.
We’ve already broken down in our webinar, “Spreading a Pandemic: Big ‘Pro-Life’ in Action” how anti-abortion groups have been worsening the virus’ spread by hosting large indoor gatherings, spreading anti-mask and anti-vaccine propaganda, and more. One might think people claiming to provide medical care would require some standard of COVID safety and evidence-based practices for themselves and their clients … nope.
For more on fake clinics or how Big ‘Pro-Life’ is worsening the deadly pandemic, check out our #BadFaithMedicine campaign page here, or video explainer on the anti-abortion movement’s dangerous lack of regard for the pandemic’s toll here.
Thanks for staying safe and staying alert to the dangers of the anti-abortion movement.
