Democrats might be in control in Washington, but that hasn’t stopped far-right extremists from advancing their restrictive, repressive agenda at the state level.
In Texas, a law went into effect last month effectively banning abortions and criminalizing doctors and others responsible for the operation.
The Supreme Court failed to stop its enforcement and even after a federal judge stepped in to block the ban, the dangerous abortion law has already been revived and is back in effect.
The truth is, Republicans have been waging attacks against our basic freedoms like this near-abortion ban all year. GOP-led state legislatures across the country have been hard at work attacking our right to vote in addition to inhibiting our access to reproductive health care.
So far this year, nineteen states enacted 33 laws aimed at making it more difficult for Americans to vote — most often by targeting communities of color and restricting access to the ballot box.
These attacks are prevalent in Republican-controlled states, and this is exactly the playbook the GOP will follow if they win back control of the House and Senate in 2022.
That’s why we need to prepare to fight back. Now.
John, rush a contribution today to help us protect our majorities in Congress so we can keep the GOP’s abortion bans and voting rights attacks out of Washington.

GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy would love nothing more than to implement restrictive laws similar to those we have seen in Texas and other GOP-controlled states.
We have a lot of work to do to protect our progress, but I know this team is up for the fight.
