Friends,

Did you know that right here in Iowa, more than 403 miles of highway are in poor condition? Or that nearly one in five bridges in Iowa is classified as structurally deficient?

That's why I'm working in Congress to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the single largest dedicated investment in bridges since the construction of the interstate highway system.

This bill would bring more than $3 billion back to Iowa to fund repairs and upkeep of our roads, bridges and highways. And not only will this upgrade our infrastructure, it will also ease the burdens that everyday Iowans face while living and commuting here.

On average, Iowans spends more than $300 a year in costs directly related to driving on roads in need of repair. Are you one of them?

How much do you spend a year on repairs or other expenses because of damaged or unsafe roads?

Thank you,
Cindy
