Dear friend,
I had the utmost pleasure to join drug historian Emily Dufton, author of the critically-acclaimed book Grass Roots: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Marijuana in America (Basic Books, 2017) to discuss my own bestseller, Smokescreen: What the Marijuana Industry Doesn’t Want You to Know, on the podcast “New Books in Drugs, Addiction and Recovery.”
Emily and I had an informative and insightful conversation about the stories that Smokescreen tells and the future of marijuana policy.
We discussed details from of my time at the White House, the launching of SAM, and the need for writing a new book. What’s more, since it has been five months now since Smokescreen was released, we also were able to discuss the response the book has received and the fact that so many more stories have been shared with me since it came out that need to be shared.
The interview is just under an hour and you can listen to it by clicking the image below.
