Friend – The Pennsylvania GOP is spending millions of taxpayer dollars to move forward with its hyper-partisan 2020 "election audit."
And they unanimously voted to subpoena millions of voter records from the Department of State – putting millions at risk of identity theft. We're talking Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers ... the whole gamut of personal information.
This is not just an invasion of privacy – it's a clear attempt to undermine our democracy and attack our sacred right to vote.
And this sham "election audit" is part of a larger pattern: Republican state legislatures have introduced over 425 voter suppression bills in 49 states, buoyed by the "Big Lie" that the election was stolen. They all just want to impress former President Trump, extremist PA Republicans included.
The legitimacy of our elections shouldn't be partisan. It shouldn't be possible for the GOP to waste millions of taxpayer dollars just to impress a twice-impeached former president who lost the election, fair and square. But the GOP's actions show they don't care about the integrity of our elections.
Concerned Americans across the country are urgently speaking out against this alarming assault on our democracy, but with time running out before our poll closes at midnight, we’re still missing your response. So please, let us know now:
Will you speak out against the GOP's hyper-partisan "election audit"?
