This is huge, John.
A group of powerhouse women including Jane Fonda, Catherine Keener, and many others just got arrested on Capitol Hill calling for climate action.
Every Friday from now through January, Jane Fonda and other allies will participate in #FireDrillFridays to demand that our elected leaders take bold action to address the climate emergency.
The climate crisis impacts so many aspects of our lives, with far-reaching effects on immigration, public health, jobs, and more – which is why each week of action will focus on a different area. Next week, we’re calling attention to the intersection of women and climate change, and we want you there!
Join us next Friday, November 1st from 10am-1pm for #FireDrillFriday at Capitol Hill to demand climate justice and highlight the disparate impact of climate change on women and girls.

For too long, the fossil fuel industry has bought off our politicians, deceived the public, and threatened our communities. We’re rising together to say enough is enough. It’s time to put our children’s future ahead of corporate profits for the few.
While the climate crisis threatens everyone, it especially impacts vulnerable populations, including women and girls. But like with many global issues, women are at the heart of climate solutions and rising up to tackle the crisis.
RSVP now to take action next Friday, November 1 for #FireDrillFriday.
To prepare for the action, you’ll be invited to a Facebook live teach-in with Jane Fonda on Thursday night from 7-8pm to get oriented and go over the agenda for the day.
We know better than anyone that when women, femmes, and allies come together – there is nothing we can’t do. We sent shockwaves through the world three years in a row when we organized three of the four largest mobilizations in U.S. history – and we’re not stopping.
We’re going to keep rising up and pushing the world forward.
