One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet with folks like you from across the state and listen to your priorities, thoughts, and concerns so I can best fight for you and your family back in Washington.

Time and again, my constituents talk to me about the sky high prices of prescription medication, access to affordable health care, and the effect it has on their lives — issues that folks also consistently mark as top priorities in our monthly Issues Surveys.

That’s why I am working day and night to get the Build Back Better budget resolution passed in Washington. This once-in-a-lifetime package will expand affordable health care and lower the costs of prescription medications — all by making large corporations and the super wealthy pay their fair share of taxes.

Congress has talked about lowering the price of prescription drugs for years, but Republicans have repeatedly blocked our legislation allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices. It’s past time for Congress to finally stand up to Big Pharma and get this done for working families.

I’m working hard to get this done, but I could use your help keeping up on our fundraising in the meantime.
