John, global temperatures are rising quickly, and we need to take bold action to stop the climate crisis.
I spoke with Vox recently about dangerous Republican preemption bills sweeping the nation — many of which could make it harder for state and local leaders to take action against climate change.
Here in Philadelphia, a pending bill in the Pennsylvania legislature would make it more difficult for us to encourage energy efficiency and electrification.
We can’t let this happen, John. Will you sign my petition today to take a stand against preemption bills that inhibit climate action and to show your support for finding alternative, greener energy solutions? [[link removed]]

As chair of the Philadelphia Gas Commission, I’m committed to finding alternative energy resources, as opposed to relying only on fossil fuels as an energy source.
Results from the PGW Diversification Study will be released soon, and I look forward to exploring avenues to diversify and utilize renewable energy resources in our city.
We can’t make progress and explore these alternative resources if state laws don't allow us to do so.
John, sign on today to show your support for combating the climate crisis through finding alternative energy resources and to refute preemption bills that stand in the way of our greener future. [[link removed]]
