Friends -- justice for immigrants has been a lifelong passion of mine.
As you may know, I've lived the immigrant experience. I came to the United States when I was 16 to attend school. I worked tirelessly every day to ensure I made the most of the opportunities given to me.
It's important to me that all immigrants have the chance at the same opportunities I had. That's why, in the aftermath of September 11, I founded an organization dedicated to keeping immigrant communities in my state and across America safe from the kind of harsh, racist policies that have become a daily fact of life under Donald Trump.
But, as the past three years have shown, the fight for justice is never truly finished.
When Trump attacks immigrants and refugees, I take it personally. It's an attack on the soul of our country.
We're building a movement to defeat Trump and create a future where immigrants see justice, not the inside of a cage.
Will you contribute to our movement today?
