The bipartisan January 6th select committee has a crucial mission to investigate the January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and determine the sequence of events that led to that violent assault on our democracy.
But Donald Trump has told his GOP allies not to participate in the committee's fact-finding mission. Now Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist and top disinformation spewer, is refusing to comply with their subpoena.
If he defies the subpoena to testify before the select committee, Steve Bannon must be held in criminal contempt of Congress. His purposeful withholding of his personal knowledge of the 1/6 events will delay the investigation and obstruct our ability to determine what occurred and who was involved — and undermine our efforts to take measures to prevent similar attacks in the future.
We can’t let that happen. We must use every available tool to enforce compliance with the committee’s subpoenas and complete a full investigation of the events that led up to the violent attack on our Capitol. Please add your name next to mine if you agree >> [[link removed]]

Donald Trump claims that his lieutenants can fight the congressional subpoenas on the grounds of ‘executive privilege.’ This is a bogus claim. There is no right to ‘executive privilege’ that protects someone from potential culpability in an attack on our democracy.
Americans need to know the FACTS. What did members and allies of the Trump Administration know in the run up to the ‘Stop the Steal’ event — and what did they do about it?
To protect our democracy from those who seek to dismantle it, we must have answers.
Thank you for adding your voice.
