Friend,

This week, we had our first debate for my re-election campaign. I'm proud of what we've achieved, and these debates are a chance to talk about the progress we are making in Manchester. We've strengthened our schools, improved public safety, and grown our economy. As we continue to have conversations around this race we will continue running on our record of success for Manchester. I hope you watch the upcoming debate on Sunday at 10am on WMUR, and listen to NHPR on Monday at 2pm and 8pm, to join the conversation about how we are building a stronger Manchester.

We only have 11 days until the election, so it's now or never for you to play your part in moving Manchester forward! The backbone of this campaign is face-to-face conversations with voters, and we need your help reaching as many Manchester residents as we can. Sign up to volunteer here!

Thank you for your continued support!

Best,

Joyce

Missy's Hope 5k

It was an honor to participate in the 10th anniversary of Missy’s Hope 5k last Saturday morning

In the face of unimaginable tragedy, Missy's family created a legacy of love and hope in her name. Through their advocacy and volunteerism, they have made sure that survivors of domestic violence have a voice at our Statehouse.

And through Missy’s family’s ongoing fundraising efforts through Missy's Hope 5k and Missy’s Closet, they are helping to support critical services for survivors in our community.

Stonewall Democrats Endorsement

I'm grateful to have the endorsement of New Hampshire Stonewall Democrats. Together, we're working to continue supporting LGBTQ+ members of our community, because no matter who you love or how you identify, you are welcomed, respected & accepted in the Queen City.

West High Football Fundraiser

‪I had a great time at Fricker's Neighborhood Grill Sunday morning for their West High football fundraiser!‬

‪Thanks to everyone who joined us, ate some pancakes & showed some west side pride.

Pulaski Day

On Sunday, I proclaimed Sunday, October 20, 2019, as Pulaski Day to observe and commemorate the Revolutionary War hero and Polish immigrant, Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski.

Thanks to a fundraising effort that began in 2017, Manchester’s Pulaski Monument was restored this fall. Thank you to the Manchester Heritage Commission Manchester, NH Parks & Rec and all of the supporters who made this work possible!

Democratic Women's Caucus Canvass Launch

We had a great group with the NH Democratic Women's Caucus canvassing on Sunday, fired up to talk with their neighbors about electing the awesome Democratic women running for office across the city.

Drug take-back program

Drug take-back programs and Red Ribbon Week are important opportunities to prevent unused prescription drugs from finding their way into the wrong hands and to raise awareness about preventing substance misuse before it starts.

Thank you to Senator Maggie Hassan, Manchester NH Police, the DEA, Makin' It Happen and others for helping to get the word out!

WATCH: Our first re-election TV ad

I'm excited to announce our first re-election TV ad, "Results."

I’m proud of the accomplishments we’ve achieved during my first term as your mayor, but we have more work to do. And by working together, we will continue to make Manchester stronger.

Greater Manchester Chamber Debate

Thank you to everyone who came early Wednesday morning to support me at the Greater Manchester Chamber debate!

Thank you to the Greater Manchester Chamber for hosting the debate. We had a great discussion about the future of our city, and what we've accomplished during my first term.

World Polio Day

Thank you to Manchester Rotary Club for joining me in proclaiming October 24th as World Polio Day in the City of Manchester.

Rotary is a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, and have worked to reduce polio cases worldwide by more than 99.9%. Today, they're continuing their work to eliminate polio in nations where it remains and keep other countries polio-free.

NH Voices: Sylvio Dupuis — Mayor Craig deserves another term

As a former mayor, I think a good first term deserves another, and based on what she has accomplished in her first term, I’m proud to support Mayor Joyce Craig for reelection.

Serving your first term as mayor of Manchester is a unique challenge. The first two years are a true test of the dedication, ability to unite different parts of the city and the hard work the new mayor is willing to put into leading our city. As I watch Joyce Craig in her first term, I’m reminded of the difficult decisions and challenges I faced during my first term, and I am constantly impressed with the progress she has been able to achieve in her first two years.

Strengthening our schools and expanding opportunities

Strong public schools are critical for our city’s success and lead to a thriving community, better jobs, safer neighborhoods, enhanced property values and so much more. As we continue our work to build a stronger Manchester, we must continue to provide resources and support to our educators and students to ensure our children can reach their full potential.

Along with my children and husband, I’m a proud graduate of Manchester’s public schools.

As a parent, my desire to make Manchester public schools better is what motivated me to run for public office. And whether you’re a student, a teacher, a parent, a business leader, or a resident — we all have a vested interest in our public education system.
