Joint Statement in Support of Senator Mike Lee’s Efforts to Protect Civil Liberties
SALT LAKE CITY – More than 100 elected officials, businesses and Utahns issue a joint statement supporting efforts that protect civil liberties and push back on federal government overreach:
“As business, elected and community leaders, as well as individuals who care deeply about civil liberties, we have been extremely concerned with the massive and unprecedented federal overreach we are currently witnessing.
“We are grateful for Senator Mike Lee, who is willing to stand up and fight back against the Biden administration’s attempt to force unwanted medical procedures on individuals regardless of their personal circumstances, to discharge upstanding members of our military who won’t bow to these mandates, to coerce private companies using our federal tax dollars, and to bully and threaten any who vocally disagree.
“We support Senator Lee’s recently introduced bills to push back against these coercive and unjust actions, and thank him for hearing our concerns as he represents us in Washington.”
