Kaporos Activism Focuses on Showing Care and Compassion for the Birds

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to share with you two summary accounts of this year's activities
to help the thousands of chickens who suffer for Kaporos in Brooklyn, New York.
This year, the Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos and its allies focused on
expressing our compassion for the birds and on rescuing approximately 400
chickens from the ritual for relocation to sanctuaries where they will live out
their lives in peace and happiness. We hope you will be heartened by these
testaments to the extremely difficult but utterly gratifying undertaking by
dedicated activists on behalf of the chickens and for a merciful Kaporos that
uses nonanimal symbols of atonement instead of chickens.
