Join us for an AYD Canvass down to Richmond and Virginia Beach October 16th-17th ! We’ll be meeting up at Clarendon’s Northside Social at 7:00am on Saturday in order to arrive in Petersburg for a canvass launch along with VAYD at 9:00am. We will canvass for Lashrecse Aird, Katie Sponsler & VA Dems on Saturday, then drive to VA Beach where we will spend the night. On Sunday we will canvass for Alex Askew, Nancy Guy & VA Dems. We should arrive back in Arlington by 8pm on Sunday. We will provide accommodation details after you sign up.
Please pack appropriately and be prepared to walk around for a while (think: athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap or visor), and keep an eye on the forecast. We recommend while canvassing that you wear sunscreen, bring water and snacks, and come with a fully charged phone as we will be using a mobile app to canvass.
For safety regarding COVID-19, we ask that all volunteers be vaccinated. Masks are also required for volunteering.

Share Feedback on Draft Framework for Arlington’s Commitment to Strengthening Trust with our Immigrant Community
Through Thursday, Oct. 21: Arlington County has always had the vision of being a welcoming and inclusive community where every person has the right to live, learn, work and play. We have created a Draft Framework for Arlington’s Commitment to Strengthening Trust with our Immigrant Community [[link removed]] which reflects these values and we want to hear from you! Your feedback will help inform the creation of a draft “trust policy” and draft action agenda regarding the immigrant community and the County’s relationship to/with ICE and federal immigration services. Share your thoughts [[link removed]] .
