Nancy Pelosi Presses Media: Do a Better Job at Selling President’s Massive Spending Plan
Townhall: Asked whether Democrats have failed to effectively persuade the public that a massive influx of social spending is necessary, Pelosi turned the question around on the reporter. “Well I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you, because every time I come here I go through the list: medical leave, climate, the issues that are in there,” Pelosi said ( National Review). From Townhall: Oh, so it’s the media’s fault that Americans aren’t thrilled about trillions of dollars spent on woke special interests and priorities. It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the inflation that’s already hitting Americans across the board? ( Townhall)

White House Warning on Shortages as Christmas Approaches: “There Will Be Things That People Can't Get”
Reuters: White House officials, scrambling to relieve global supply bottlenecks choking U.S. ports, highways and railways, warn that Americans may face higher prices and some empty shelves this Christmas season ( Reuters). Breitbart: The White House’s warning comes as shipping containers remain backlogged at ports on both of the country’s coasts. Recent reports say 65 cargo ships are waiting to dock the high-traffic Port of Los Angeles, which is currently full. Additionally, 8,000 shipping containers are stuck at the Port of Savannah ( Breitbart). Fox reports: Dana Perino warned Tuesday that the Biden administration is on the brink of facing a major “crisis of confidence” amid increasing concerns over supply chain shortages and empty shelves ahead of the holidays. “Nothing says ‘return to normal’ like a shortage of toilet paper… That’s what we are going to see. We are getting into a crisis of confidence danger zone – when Little Jesse Jr. cannot get his Christmas present, that will be bad,” Perino went on, “but there is another thing beyond people not getting Christmas presents. Think of other companies and people who do seasonal, holiday work, where they are helping ship things out,” she said. “There will be no need to do that” ( Fox News).

Author of Patriot Act Speaks Up: No, it “Doesn’t Apply to Parents”
In the face of the threat of raw political use of the Patriot Act on parents at school board meetings, James Sensenbrenner—author of the Act and former congressman from Wisconsin set the record straight: Democrats’ hostility toward parents seeking a voice in their children’s education is not new. Of greater concern is the recent attempt to weaponize our criminal laws to eliminate these voices… Democrats’ hostility toward parents seeking a voice in their children’s education is not new. Of greater concern is the recent attempt to weaponize our criminal laws to eliminate these voices ( WSJ). And: a number of the school-board groups say the national board overstepped: Thirteen state school-board associations claim that their national headquarters never consulted them before requesting federal intervention from the Biden administration to investigate “threats” by parents to determine whether they constitute “domestic terrorism” or “hate crimes” under the Patriot Act ( NRO) .

Afghanistan on the Edge of Chaos; Economy is “Spiraling”

Jen Psaki Admits Biden Administration Is Using COVID to Change the Economy
Spencer Brown : If it wasn’t already clear that the Biden administration was using the Wuhan coronavirus to exert more power and control over the country, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki made it clear in Tuesday’s briefing. When asked about the potential of cutting some programs — and thereby reducing the price tag — in Biden’s $4.5 trillion budget proposal, Psaki rejected the notion. In the White House’s view, all of Biden’s priorities must be included and passed as soon as possible. “The president wants to make fundamental change in our economy and he feels coming out of the pandemic is exactly the time to do that,” she said ( Townhall). According to Benny Johnson: THEY JUST SAID THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD ( Twitter).

Democrats Fear Losing Majority as Midterms Approach
Politico: Democrats have a Goldilocks problem with President Joe Biden’s social spending plan. Too big, some moderates worry it could cost them their seats. Actor Dean Cain Slams DC Comics on Announcement That New Superman is Bisexual
NY Post: “They said it’s a bold new direction, I say they’re bandwagoning,” Cain defiantly declared. “Robin just came out as bi — who’s really shocked about that one? The new Captain America is gay. My daughter in [the TV series] ‘Supergirl,’ where I played the father, was gay. So I don’t think it’s bold or brave or some crazy new direction. If they had done this 20 years ago, perhaps that would be bold or brave” ( NYPost).
