Right now, Texas Democrats are hard at work preparing for November 2: the day of the runoff election for House District 118 in San Antonio. This is a chance to send another Democrat to the Texas House -- but it’s an incredibly close race, and we’re up against Governor Abbott’s hand-picked candidate. So I’m asking for your help right now to make sure we win this election.

Our Democratic candidate Frank Ramirez is a lifelong San Antonian, a proven leader, and a committed fighter for working families. We need his voice in the state legislature -- because the Texas House is ground zero for Republican attacks against our voting rights, health care, and education that we have been battling across the country all year long. There are still fights on the horizon, and if we’re going to protect Texans from Greg Abbott’s reign of terror, we can’t afford to lose a single seat.

We already know that we’re up against a Republican candidate hand selected by Abbott who has proven to do the Governor’s bidding time and again. Just last week, we found out that Frank’s opponent was campaigning with knowledge of the election date a week before it was made public -- raising serious questions about whether Greg Abbott gave him insider information to try to sway this election. San Antonio deserves better -- and we need to be all in to elect Frank and fight back against Abbott’s attacks.
