Is this the future of money?

This is the last crypto email! Why? Because the documentary series begins tonight!

Digital currency is something most preppers would like to avoid. We like tangible goods and wealth. But it may not be that easy. Here are a few reasons that you need to understand crypto, even if you never intend to use it. And here's where you need to go to learn more about cryptocurrency.

Please understand I'm not saying that you should immediately go purchase a whole bunch of Bitcoin or whatever. I just think we all need to learn more about it to keep up with the curve.

1)  It may be a way to protect your money.

As the government seems more and more interested in the money we have in our bank accounts, holding some funds in a crypto wallet is one way to keep their noses out of our financial business. If you haven't been paying attention, the Biden administration believes they can make an extra 3 billion dollars in taxes by forcing banks to report accounts that have more than $600 in them. (Gosh, sure glad he's going after those giant corporations.) Crypto can be a way to protect your privacy.

2) Crypto is easily portable.

If you were to leave the country, you don't have to worry about carrying tons of cash or transporting precious metals -all you have to do is log in when you get there.

3) It holds its value and even increases in value.

Let's face it. The dollar is going nowhere good right now. Cryptocurrency, when used properly, can be a way to maintain wealth during a financial crisis. While we deal with inflation, or even hyperinflation, spending our dollars, cryptocurrency may be a far safer hedge.

4) It could be the future of money.

Love it or hate it, digital currency is here to stay. At the very least, you should understand it so that you don't get left behind as the world speeds ahead. You don't want to be listening to the news wondering what on earth people are talking about.
Is this really a good idea? It's going to affect you whether you like it or not.

I'll be perfectly honest.

I don't know enough about cryptocurrency to tell you whether to hold 'em or fold 'em. But I want to learn because it is a part of our financial future, regardless of our thoughts about it. I'm not suggesting you divest yourself of everything else and invest only in crypto. I'm only suggesting that you learn about it. I know that I am going to because I think it's very important, and I don't want to get left behind, lost when conversations turn to digital transactions.
