John,

I need to be blunt with you: all of the progress we've made so far -- a fully funded public education system, an economy on the mend, and expanding broadband -- will be under attack if we lose to our extreme Republican opponent in 2022. That's why it's so important that we hit our $15,000 October mid-month fundraising goal before Friday's deadline.

The money we raise helps us grow our campaign team, communicate with voters, fight back against extreme Republican attacks, and so much more. And when we fall short, we have to think about making cuts -- and thinking about that this early in the cycle is a bad sign. We can't risk falling behind.

Will you pitch in $5, or whatever you can, now? Every dollar gets us one step closer to building a winning campaign.

Early investments are crucial when planning any campaign -- and it's especially true when you're running in a race that Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight, Inside Elections, The Kansas City Star, and Cook Political Report are all calling one of the most likely Democratic governor seats to flip in 2022.

There's simply too much at stake in 2022. Falling behind early on is not an option -- especially with our extreme right-wing opponent and his special interest allies gearing up to spend whatever it takes to defeat me.

I need to know I can count on your support to help us hit this goal. Pitch in $5, or whatever you can, right now to help us hit our crucial $15,000 October mid-month fundraising goal.
