Join us TOMORROW at 11:30AM to demand better for those with disabilities!

Dear Friend,

When I first ran for the state senate, subway service was at record lows and not a single subway station in our district was accessible. In my first term, we fought for dedicated funding to modernize our subways and improve accessibility so that the system would be reliable and accessible for everyone, and we got the MTA to commit to building five new elevators across southern Brooklyn in the 2020-2024 capital plan.

But now that funding is in jeopardy, which means the new elevators and service improvements we fought so hard for might be taken off the table. We can't let that happen.

Please join me on Wednesday at 11:30am outside the 18th Avenue D station for a rally to support our elevators! We'll be joined by local parents, disability and transit advocates, and of course, riders, as we call on the MTA to build the elevators they committed to and expedite the funding process so we can give all New Yorkers better and more accessible subways.

75% of our city's subway stations are not accessible. That's unacceptable. Join us tomorrow so we can demand a subway system that works for all New Yorkers.

If you have any questions, or want to let me know you can make it, just respond to this email.

Sincerely,

Andrew
