Hey all,

Unbelievable. Trump just compared the impeachment inquiry in the House of Representatives to a “lynching.”

Black folks know what a real lynching is. Too many of our ancestors were murdered by racist lynch mobs. Our parents and grandparents told us their stories.

Trump wants us to believe that facing impeachment hearings is just as unjust and wrong as a lynching, and that hateful comparison will do nothing but embolden racists who want to erase our history.

We need to fight back. We must elect Black leaders who will hold Trump accountable, and vote corruption and hate OUT in 2020. Are you in?

It's clear that Donald Trump is scared of impeachment but using this word is unconscionable. We can never expect this president to do better, to listen, or to understand. He has proven time and again that he is beyond feeling empathy or shame.

But I refuse to let his rhetoric become the new normal. We must all remember that there are leaders out there who are ready to hold him accountable, and we need to have their backs now more than ever.

Join me in committing to vote out hate and corruption and vote in the next wave of Black leaders in 2020.

Thank you,
