Hi John! Earlier today, Ashley announced she’s running for Congress to replace Republican Brian Fitzpatrick and give Pennsylvanians in Bucks and Montgomery Counties the courageous and compassionate leadership they deserve.
Ashley knows firsthand the struggles of working families in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. She spent much of her early childhood growing up in a single-mother household, as her family struggled with finances, mental health, and substance abuse issues. At age 17, Ashley forged her own path by joining the U.S. Army to create more opportunities for herself. She graduated from West Point, became an AH-64D Apache Longbow pilot, and served her country in Kuwait and Iraq. Following her military service, Ashley attended graduate school and served as a COVID-19 policy writer and CARES Act project coordinator. Throughout her life, Ashley has experienced the impact of our broken political system and weak social safety net. Lack of access to good-paying jobs, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and affordable education has held working families and our communities back, all while we deal with skyrocketing drug prices, existential threats to abortion access, student loan debt, a stagnant minimum wage, and more. Something’s got to change, and Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick has simply failed to get the job done. That’s why Ashley is running to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District: to provide our communities with the services and opportunities they need to thrive, to create positive change, and to ensure the next generation will have a better future ahead of them. With your support, we can replace Fitzpatrick with a Democratic woman veteran, flip this critical House seat from red to blue, and create a brighter future for everyone across the district.
