As a single mom, planning. is. everything. And let’s be real, sometimes that planning falls short. Sometimes dinner ends up being frozen lasagna and now it’s burnt.
But when it comes to planning out my campaign’s funding, I try my best to stay on track. And that means raising money for the 2022 election right now.
Here’s why it’s important that we’re planning ahead and bringing in funds even a year out from the election:
- When we report that we’re bringing in a healthy fundraising haul, it can actually keep potential opponents from hopping in the race—they’ll decide they won’t be able to catch up to our numbers.
- It allows us to plan more strategically and try out new tactics for reaching voters.
- Having funds now means that we can reach voters early on, before the bombardment of negative GOP attack ads start.
