You may not know this but I’m a big music fan, John – I even worked as a concert promoter when I was an undergrad at Ohio State.
It inspires me and I know I’m not alone in this. Music – especially live music – holds a special place for me and so many others. It’s the source of so many priceless memories. I’ve seen countless concerts at places like The Queen and The Grand in Wilmington. And last month, I was thrilled to be able to return to the Firefly festival and enjoy live music again.
When the pandemic hit and live music venues across Delaware and the country faced an uncertain future, I made it a priority to make sure these invaluable local businesses could have the resources they needed to survive the ongoing pandemic and safely reopen.
I’ve been fighting for legislation to provide tax credits and relief grants to venues to help them keep the lights on and keep employees on the payroll.
Happy listening,
Tom
