When you look at our logo, the symbol you see is the equality symbol. That is because the National Urban League is dedicated to making America equal for all Americans.

But now, the fight for equality is more urgent than ever. As America faces a crisis of right versus wrong, we must remind people how to do better.

It is right to protect the civil rights of all people and stand up for anyone who is struggling. What is wrong is hate, inequality, and disparities like Black households being nearly 2X more likely to be unemployed and holding only one tenth the wealth of white households.

Efforts to erode our civil liberties continue to run rampant throughout our country. We need to show that we will not stand for it. We will not be silent. We need to keep fighting for better. We need you—to stand with us against racism, inequality, and hate.  

Your support is urgently needed to ensure our work can continue to change the lives of people living in underserved, vulnerable communities who struggled even before COVID-19.  People like Lynette, a Black American who was forced to give up her full-time job and college education when she was struck by a truck. Severe injuries prevented her from returning to work and school. 

But thanks to donor support, the National Urban League was able to help her receive training to work in social services. Now, she is a full-time caseworker with a good salary and endless gratitude to people like you who made her new life possible.
