| Climate injustice is happening now! | | | | | |
|
|
| The single most significant issue facing us all today is the climate crisis and climate injustice. Why? Because, as Titus Sagala, Country Director of Send a Cow Kenya, says: | | | | | |
| “The poorest communities in Africa, who largely depend on rain-fed agriculture, are bearing the brunt of this crisis. The impact is clear: it is increasing world inequalities.” - Titus, Kenya | | | | |
| Nearly 70% of people in Africa rely on the land to grow their food and generate an income. But although they feel the full force of the changing climate, they have been under-represented (if not invisible) in discussions of the unfolding global disaster. This is the reality of climate injustice. It is essential that world leaders take notice of the farmers who are facing increasing threats from the climate crisis, ahead of COP26 being held in Glasgow in just a few weeks. These two videos are the first of a four-part series called ‘The climate crisis: life on the front line’. It is our contribution to getting voices from this marginalised community heard. | | | | | |

| “We depend on crops produced on our land. If there is a drought we suffer from hunger and during these times we spend a lot of time going out looking for food to feed our family." - Gaspard, Rwanda | | | | |
| Keep your eyes peeled for more email updates from Gaspard coming very soon and thank you for joining the Send a Cow movement to fight climate injustice. If you ever have any questions about your support or our work, please do not hesitate to get in touch. In solidarity, Joanna Brownbill Director of Communications | | | | | |
