The elected board members at our state's largest publicly-owned utility, Nebraska Public Public District (NPPD), are right now considering a plan for how to "decarbonize" Nebraska's power supply -- which currently still relies heavily on dirty coal.
NPPD's board members need to hear from YOU, right now, before they make this decision. We encouraged folks to take NPPD's online customer survey over the summer -- but a letter voicing your support for clean energy is another easy and effective way to take action now.
Our friends at Nebraska Conservation Voters are hosting a series of Letter-Writing Events, where you can learn more about why this current NPPD deliberation process is so important, and how you can voice your opinion to board members through a letter:

Refreshments will be provided and we will have a presentation and writing materials to contact the NPPD board members to encourage them to commit to a carbon neutrality goal.
