Mark your calendars for our November 7 general meeting!

Our very special guest speaker will be Tim Whitehouse, executive director of Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, a national organization in Silver Spring, Maryland, that represents environmental whistleblowers and advocates on behalf of federal, state, and local public servants working on environmental issues.

Just this week, the New York Times reported that the Trump administration has begun preparing for the formal withdrawal of the US from the Paris Agreement. Over the last three years, the president has installed fossil fuel lobbyists in every environmental regulatory agency leadership post and has initiated the rollback of more than 80 environmental regulations.

Clearly, climate change science is under systematic attack by the Trump administration. Tim will talk about why that matters for local and national decision making and what his organization is doing to fight back.
