Yesterday, Pete rolled out his most comprehensive policy yet. It’s called “Building Power: A Women’s Agenda for the 21st Century,” and it’s just one of the reasons I’m with Pete.

This plan is the most ambitious and comprehensive proposal of any candidate to invest in women’s social and economic empowerment, tackle gender and race-based health disparities, and break systemic barriers designed to hold women back.

As the former Executive Director of EMILY’s List -- the largest organization for women in the country -- I am paying close attention to issues of representation, protections for reproductive rights, and economic issues that impact not just women but all families.

That’s why I’m excited about what’s in this plan. It shows that Pete has an understanding of some of the biggest challenges women are facing -- and he’s ready to do something about it.

I’ve been working to elect Democrats for nearly 20 years. Most recently, I was the CEO of the DNC and the Executive Director at EMILY’s List, where I worked, along with so many others, to elect Democrats up and down the ballot nationwide. And now, I’m proud to join you to help Mayor Pete win.
