Right now, Montana’s Secretary of State is facing a fourth lawsuit over the GOP’s new voter law passed earlier this year. Will you sign our petition to let those fighting for Montana voting rights know that we stand with them?

Three youth voting rights organizations -- Montana Youth Action, the Montana Public Interest Research Group, and the Forward Montana Foundation have joined forces to bring a lawsuit against Secretary of State Christi Jacob, alleging that the new voter ID requirements and removal of same-day voter registration are discriminatory and will disenfranchise many Montana voters.

This is a particularly important issue for youth voters because the new law states that a Student ID is not good enough to prove your identification for voting. The GOP knows their policies are unpopular with young people, and stifling their vote will help Republicans gain and maintain power.

We need to stand with these organizations and all those who are fighting GOP voter suppression in this state and this country. We want 3,000 supporters to sign our petition today stating that you stand with these organizations and stand for voting rights.
