Jim Jordan is mocking Indigenous Peoples' Day over twitter
John -
President Biden has declared today Indigenous Peoples' Day, an annual celebration of Native American peoples and their histories and cultures.
The story of America’s mistreatment of indigenous peoples is long and painful. And yet, Jim Jordan has consistently voted against honoring our government's commitments to Native Americans throughout his career. Just this morning, he took to mocking Indigenous Peoples' Day over Twitter.
Native communities have proven resilient, and we owe them our respect. Instead, Jim Jordan is dishonoring them to look tough on Joe Biden?
In the year 2021, it’s far past time we put laws in place to uplift our Native communities. When I'm in Washington, I'll work with the Biden Administration to correct past injustices against Native Americans so that our nation finally lives up to its full promise of equality for all.
