John,

As President Biden and other states across the country continue forcing businesses to stay closed and workers to stay home, North Dakota is open for business.

Instead of shutting down, we're keeping our economy on the move to produce the food, energy, products and services our nation needs. Meanwhile our farmers, ranchers and main streets continue to persevere through a record drought.

We believe hardworking North Dakotans deserve a measure of relief!

That's why we're urging the legislature to give working North Dakotans a tax break with an Income Tax Credit of up to $500 in 2021 and 2022.

Sign the petition to provide tax relief for hardworking North Dakotans and invest in ND to diversify the economy. ([link removed])

Thanks to our conservative budgeting...
North Dakota's rainy day savings accounts are full.
Our checking accounts are overflowing.
And we are in a near-record strong financial position.

North Dakota can and should provide this two-year income tax break to the hardworking citizens who have kept our economy functioning through the pandemic.

This tax break was announced last week as part of our Accelerate ND plan ([link removed]) . In addition to this direct relief for North Dakotans,
we have an unprecedented opportunity to move our state forward right now.

We can use these federal dollars to fund one-time investments that will diversify our economy, make our state more competitive, improve the efficiency of government services,
provide tax relief and create long-term cost savings for the citizens of North Dakota.

We can accomplish these goals without growing government while providing a high return on investment for taxpayers.

Join us in urging the legislature to return these dollars to the taxpayer!
