Today, I’m embarking on my 5th Walk Across Connecticut.

This is one of my favorite weeks of the year. The idea is pretty simple - I walk from one end of Connecticut to the other, over the course of a week, and it’s my chance to hear from people who aren’t plugged into politics.

We couldn’t do it last year because of the pandemic, but with the proper precautions in place this year, I’m eager to get on the road again.

I want to use this week to hear from as many people as possible. But I know we can’t meet everyone on the walk, so we put together a short survey to give you a chance to make sure your opinion registers too.

My job is to represent everyone, not just those that call or write to my office. That’s part of the reason I do this walk each year. It’s important for me to listen to people everywhere about what they want me to be doing in Washington.

This year, I’m going north to south — starting in Enfield and ending in Guilford. Depending on my pace, it should take me about four days. While I'm walking, I’ll try to take a look at the results of this survey.
