Good afternoon friend,
Over the weekend you’ve done something amazing. Over the weekend our supporters came together and smashed our ambitious £50,000 crowdfunding target - contributing nearly £20,000 since Friday to make sure we have what we need for our demo on the 22nd October. I should know by now that our supporters always come through when we need you, but this generosity is just astonishing - thank you so very much.
I also wanted to quickly get in touch today to let you know that even if you couldn’t make a donation over the weekend, there is still time to write to Peers ahead of the Second Reading.
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve teamed up with Humanists UK and the National Secular Society to share our unique online tool even further, giving more assisted dying supporters the opportunity to share their experiences with Peers and more strength to the case for change. If you do one thing for the campaign before the Second Reading in a couple of weeks, please, make it this.
We’ve heard back from Peers confirming this approach is working. They are receiving dozens of thoughtful, heartfelt letters that are encouraging supportive Peers to commit to attending the debate and undecided Peers to consider joining them. Thanks to everyone who has already written and thanks in advance to those who take this step now. To get started, check out our guidance here.
Keep up the amazing work. Together we will change the law.
All the best,
Sadie Kempner

P.S. If you've already written to Peers - thanks so much, you don't need to do anything further. If you have the time and you'd like to contact more Peers, do feel free to go through the template again and you will be assigned three new Peers!
