Friend,

In what will be one of the most important elections this year, all eyes are on Virginia as polling in the Virginia gubernatorial election continues to show razor thin margins between Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe and Trump-endorsed, far-right candidate Glenn Youngkin.

And new reporting out from People For’s Right Wing Watch demonstrates that Youngkin is just as extreme as Trump and others on the far-right – despite his attempts to portray himself as a more moderate candidate.

Last week, Glenn Youngkin spoke at an anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ conference, and just this past Friday spoke at the right-wing Family Research Council – an organization whose anti-LGBTQ extremism has led to its designation as a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center.[1][2]

Glenn Youngkin’s extremism stands at stark opposition to the values of Virginia voters, but unless we’re able to increase voter turnout in the upcoming election, he has a chance of beating Terry McAuliffe!

Sign up now to help get out the vote in Virginia by calling or texting voters – the election is just a few weeks away! >>

If progressives lose in the all-important Virginia election, it will only embolden other far-right candidates across the country as we rapidly approach the mid-term elections just next year.

Virginia has been a shining example for the rest of the country of the successes a state can attain by electing progressive leadership, and this year it’s vital that we protect and build on our recent gains.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to preserve the progressive victories we’ve had over the last couple of years by allowing a far-right takeover of the state – please sign up now >>

Thanks for all you do,

Zach, People For the American Way

Radical Right extremists are trying to turn back the clock on a century of advances in civil rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights, the social safety net and more… they’re waging an all-out assault on the fundamental pillars of our country – democracy, checks and balances, a fair and independent judicial branch, and core values like fairness, equality, and justice for all.

People For is fighting back every day with:

✔ Grassroots organizing
✔ Lobbying and advocacy
✔ Research and education
✔ Voter mobilization
✔ And more…

But we can’t do this vital work without the robust grassroots financial support of our members and activists.
