Dear John, Last night was a special night for us. We gathered with our supporters, local leaders, community partners and allies to celebrate 25 years of gun violence prevention work by Stop Handgun Violence. We are so proud of what we have accomplished together. Massachusetts has gun laws that are a model for the nation and we could not have done that without your support. But, unfortunately, last night was also bittersweet. As we gathered with our allies to celebrate 25 years of work on gun violence prevention, we were well aware of the work we still have to do. Each year 40,000 Americans lose their lives to gun violence and most states do not even require a background check on all gun sales. So, we are reaching out one more time and asking for your support. Please donate today to help us sustain our work. Through the end of October, all donations made through our website will be tripled by two generous donors. We hope you will help us stay in this fight! -Zoe Grover | |
