The battle for democracy is being waged in Michigan where Republicans have launched a coordinated, partisan, and well-funded effort to discourage you and me from exercising our freedom to vote. They're fighting to make it harder to access the ballot box and eroding the trust that our elections actually work.

As if that weren't enough, I'm a Democratic incumbent secretary of state running for reelection in a battleground state in 2022. A far-right group funded almost entirely by members of Betsy DeVos' family is coming after me so they can make room for someone who can't be trusted to guard your freedom to vote.
