Here’s the thing, though. A great start is just that—a start. We can’t rest on this success, because outraising Mitch McConnell isn’t something that can happen just one time if we want to win this race.
It’s something we’ll have to do as often again and again.
The fact is Mitch has over $2 million more than us in his campaign account, and his special-interest allies are rallying around him to wipe out any advantage we gain. And we know they’ll spend big to attack me with all sorts of B.S.
That’s their game plan. So I’m counting on this grassroots team to do the work now to make sure we’re ready for whatever comes our way.
