National Republicans are targeting five Texas Democrats, including NewDem Vicente Gonzalez, to flip their seats from blue to red. And worse, Republicans only need to flip about five seats in TOTAL to flip the House, so what happens right here in Texas will determine control of Congress.

The Texas state legislature released a draft of their new gerrymandered Congressional maps and it’s clear: Republicans are determined to make this Vicente’s most competitive race yet. 

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has even endorsed Vicente’s opponent, giving his seat top-tier battleground status nationally.
