One of the biggest challenges to mainstreaming the use of manufactured housing may be, ironically, its cost. Long recognized as affordable when compared to site-built homes, manufactured housing’s lower costs come at a price. Grapevine Denies Apartment Project That Would Have Displaced Local Mobile Home Tenants

The city of Grapevine, TX decided against the closure of a mobile home park that would have displaced residents from one of the city’s few remaining pockets of affordable living. Read more [[link removed]]

Developer Seeks to Build New Manufactured Home Park in Hayden, CO

At a Hayden Town Council meeting on Thursday, David Zulejkic, of the Texas-based First Step Homes, presented a site plan and artist’s renderings of the park to council. The park, called the Montage, is proposed for 1300 West Jefferson Ave., just west of Wagner Equipment and directly across from the existing Meadow Village Manufactured Home Park.
