We are near the finish line of this municipal election season, and as we get closer, you can hear the attacks starting up in earnest. Our opponents’ spin team is working overtime, spreading misinformation and attacking the reputation of our great city.
Well, I want to tell you about the Manchester I know, and at the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to contribute to my good friend Joyce Craig’s reelection campaign, so that we can keep making progress in the city we know and love. [[link removed]]
In the Manchester I know, crime is down for the fifth straight year and our Mayor is working with the community to improve policing. That means body cameras for officers, increasing training, and increasing the number of officers on overnight shifts.
In the Manchester I know, our airport is expanding, small businesses have more access to resources than they ever have, and Elm Street is coming back.
In the Manchester I know, our budget has always adhered to the tax cap under Joyce Craig, and we’ve been able to invest in our schools and direct resources towards reducing homelessness.
And in the Manchester I know, our roads are paved.
GIVE $10 NOW [[link removed]] GIVE $25 NOW [[link removed]]That’s the truth about the city we all love, and it tears me apart that our opponents are so focused on tarnishing the city, spreading lies about it and our Mayor, and doing whatever’s necessary to win votes. It shouldn’t be that way. We can have an honest debate about the path forward, but we shouldn’t lie about our opponents or insult our city.
