Texas Supreme Court rules against Planned Parenthood's challenges of the Texas abortion law

FIRST: Texas passed an extremely restrictive law that would ban all abortions after just six weeks and many organizations filed lawsuits in opposition to this new Senate Bill 8 ruling.

THEN: The Texas Supreme Court refused to continue with any of the cases, making it even more difficult to fight back against this new abortion ban.

NOW: A Federal District Court judge has temporarily halted the enforcement of Texas’ Senate Bill 8 ruling until the legal battles are settled in the federal courts. But abortion rights are still under attack in Texas and around the country.
