Dear John,
This has been a huge week! I'm proud to announce four new endorsements, from all over the community. Keep up with the endorsements by viewing them all here.
I was endorsed by two current members of the Portland School Board this week. District Three member Laurie Davis, and At-Large member Sarah Jordan Thompson both endorsed my campaign.
I'm honored to have the support of business leader Mary Allen Lindemann.
"The thing about Kate is it's not about her. She doesn't have all the answers. She listens, takes in information, and knows her numbers. We can have the best ideas in the world, but if you can't support them and they're not sustainable, we will not as a city thrive."
Portland Adult Ed Representative Axels Samuntu endorsed my campaign this week, and we had a great conversation about community needs for credentialing and second-language skills — as well as Axels observations about the city.
We only have ten more days of campaigning, and we're using every penny of our campaign budget. If you can help out with a donation, your last-minute gift will directly benefit our last efforts. Want to volunteer this weekend or in the coming week? Email [email protected] or simply reply to this email.
I've been so busy between forums, door knocking, and keeping up with campaigning that I sometimes forget that campaigning can be fun even while it can be tiring. So, I thought I'd extend the ask to you: Do you have Halloween-appropriate Kate for Mayor photos? Send them our way, or post them on social media! The tail end of campaign season can get hectic, so we're inviting your humor in these final days.
