Look, I'm not here to try and scare you.

But the reality is that climate change is an existential threat to our country and humanity as a whole. Inaction and obstruction hurt us all -- Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike.

That's why as a member of the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, I helped introduce the Climate Action NOW Act -- the first major climate bill of the 116th Congress.

I've had plenty of discussions with colleagues on both sides of the aisle -- It's clear that we need less partisan bickering and more policy-backed solutions to the problems we're facing.

That's what the Climate Action NOW Act is about -- facts not fiction, reality not rhetoric.

If passed, the bill would force Donald Trump and his administration to adhere to the Paris Climate Agreement. That means across the board reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, lowering energy costs for our families, and an actual timeline to ensure our planet doesn't warm in excess of 2 degrees Celsius.

After nearly two decades of working in the green and clean energy economy, I know from firsthand experience that we can both grow our economy, create good-paying jobs, and address the climate crisis -- What is easily becoming the greatest moral issue of our time.

It won't be easy, but together, we can make this happen.
So as I said above, I'm not trying to scare you. We have the opportunity to act but that time is now. And while this is only the first of many steps we need to take to address climate change, it's a solid start and a major improvement over what we have now.

Make sure we don't miss this opportunity by showing your support for the Climate Action NOW Act →
